Its Sunday

Hi folks.

It's day 6 of the infamous potty training extravaganza. Yesterday was the hardest day with it so far. We finally just threw a diaper on him and went to church (kind of agreed to fill in at the nursery) :). But today has been fantastic. But that's usually how learning anything goes . . . you get it and then has to jump-start a few times before you can really function in what you're learning. So patience I will have. Plus he's my kid and I was what they call a "late bloomer", 3 1/2 years old until I was fully potty trained . . . that's old for a girl. He's got a great attitude, that's the best thing about all of this is, it's showing me what my boy is made of and he's got a darn good little attitude. Yay! Thank you God!

Well, let's see . . . this is also the last day dad is home on holiday (holiday, that's funny) and he has is 24 hour firehouse shift tomorrow (6:30am sharp to 6:30am Tuesday), initiating him right back into the routine. So I'm on my own, with many things, but one main one being the potty training. It's been nice to have dad to entertain Sam or take Toby and be there to remind me that it's time to take him. I'm not much of a multi-tasker. Man, this post is making me sound stupid . . ."late bloomer" "non-multi-tasker" . . . hmm, I do have my strong suites, those just aren't it. Anyhoooooo, part of me wants to panic but a lot of me knows that the grace of God shows up to fill the void . . . I've experienced it time and again. He's a great God!

Ok, I have a computer and it shuts off on pretty regular basis (its just tired and old) . . . and all on it's own by the way. Anyhoo, it's shut off 3 times since I've started this post, so I'm gonna go now. That's about 5 times more than normal. :)

I've got pics of Toby in his new underpants, don't worry their not racy, but I need to get them uploaded on my 'puter to share with my blog friends. Too cute he is!!! I'm so proud of him and his great attitude about all that's new. I pray it just keeps going smooth from here!

Well, off to bake some bread or plant a garden or something productive. hee hee, just kidding . . . probably just check my email and then wander around and pick up the house. Boys should be up in about an hour.

Great blog! Love the new header too... that is neat. Blessings of much grace and strength for the semester ahead... things are moving along here, sometimes slower than others...our buyer's are finally done nit-picking the living daylights out of our house...yeah for that.
